PLANTING THE SEED!

The Greater Gardner Chamber understands the daily challenges facing today's business owner. That is why our programs focus on providing direct, relevant and immediate assistance to the entire business community. This commitment is shared by our many members who help to make our technical assistance programs second to none for Greater Gardner area entrepreneurs.

Working closely with other professional organizations throughout the region such as the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center at Clark University, the Small Business Administration, Mount Wachusett Community College and many of our individual members, the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce is able to offer area businesses a strong support system. Education and business assistance programs are an integral and vital part of our annual workplan. The MSBDC maintains Outreach Service Locations throughout Central Massachusetts. Small business owners or prospective owners can meet with MSBDC Small Business Counseling Specialist Michael Holbrook at the Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce by appointment .

Direct individual and confidential business counseling services are available in a variety of areas including finance, marketing, accounting, operations and planning, financial plans, marketing and sales Plans, business plans and loan proposals. Our counseling team meets annually with hundreds of local people trying to establish or improve their business. In addition, on-going technical assistance is provided through the full range of seminars, conferences, courses and training sessions which are presented by the Chamber with the assistance of our members.

The Chamber maintains a host of resources and information which may be of assistance to your business. From local demographic and marketing information, employment statistics and updates, to legal and regulatory information and industrial space listings, the Chamber works to provide the information you and your business need to succeed.

Special publications provide our members with information useful to their employees, customers and managers. Our Holiday Calendar serves as a useful tool to remind our members of the legal obligations for employers on holidays, and reminds your customers of these rules. Our Guide to Building in Gardner is a valuable tool for any new or expanding business establishing or enlarging their physical facilities.

The Central Massachusetts Regional Center provides free one-to-one counseling to prospective and existing small businesses on topics such as: business plan development, finance, cash flow management, human resource issues, marketing and international trade.Training programs are offered for a nominal fee on a wide variety of management issues.

The MSBDC provides specialized services in the areas of capital formation, minority business assistance and international trade which further augment the services of the Central Mass regional Center.

The Massachusetts Small Business Development Center is a partnership of the US Small Business Administration and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
