The Ambassador Committee meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. at the Chamber office. This committee serves as the primary link between our members and the Chamber. Ambassadors welcome new members, helping them to become acclimated to the array of benefits and services offered by the Chamber, as well as introduce them to current members. New and renewing members can expect a personal visit and delivery of a membership packet from one of our Ambassadors who consider it a privilege to serve on the team. The Ambassador Committee is a positive cohesive force whose commitment to the enhancement of business in the Greater Gardner area is obvious.
Awards Selection Committee
The Awards Selection Committee, comprised of past Chairpersons of the Board, and past Citizens of the Year, meets annually in the spring, and is charged with determining the Community Awards recipients to be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.
Event Planning Committee
Meets the Third Friday at 8:00 at the Chamber office. The committee assists the Chamber staff with coordinating and promoting existing events as well as implementing new value added events to benefit Chamber members and the Greater Gardner business community as a whole.
Golf and Outing Committee
Meetings of the Golf & Outing Committee are held during the spring and summer months of each year The Golf/Outing Committee assists the Chamber staff with overall planning of the Chamber’s Annual Summer Outing & Golf Tournament event, including solicitation of sponsors and auction donors, and coordinating volunteers.
Human Resource Council
The Human Resource Council meets on an as needed basis to present human resource topics to small businesses that do not have dedicated HR departments or staff. Topics have included: Employment Law, Data Breach and Privacy Laws, Policy Statements & Handbooks, and Discrimination/Harassment Laws.
Legislative Affairs Committee
The Legislative Affairs Committee meets on the second Friday from September – June at 8:00 A.M. at the Chamber office. The committee promotes the interests of members and businesses within our service area with public sector officials on the local, state, and federal level. The committee is also responsible for the development of educational and informational programs for business and community leaders on important issues that affect businesses, and it builds coalitions when appropriate.
The Scholarship Committee meets annually in the spring to review applications for, and select recipients of awards slated for a graduating high school senior, a current college student, and a non-traditional student pursuing a degree or professional development studies.
W.O.M.E.N.2Women Planning Committee
The W.O.M.E.N.2Women Planning Committee meets the first Tuesday at 8:30 am at the Chamber office. The mission of the committee is to provide mentoring, education and networking opportunities for women in the workplace. Currently, programs are held on a quarterly basis.
