Strategic Plan- Making it Work For You
Our Mission
The Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce
will provide direct business support and advocacy,
as well as provide social and informational activities
to the business community it represents.
Just the Facts:
The Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce works hard to provide businesses from throughout its service area the highest quality and most useful services and programs. In fact, the Chamber recently celebrated a milestone achievement for any organization, 100 Years of Service to the Greater Gardner area.
There is no single organization more appropriate or committed to address the issues and concerns of the business community in our area. Joining the Chamber is an investment of support for the program of work and the many services and activities the chamber nurtures. The Chamber is committed to:
Ensuring the interests of its membership through advocacy, programs, services and community leadership as well as to act as a unified “Voice of Business” to other local, state and federal constituents.
The Chamber encourages a healthy public/private partnership in order to collectively promote economic growth, and works closely with city, state and federal agencies and departments. However, the Chamber is a private non-profit organization, separate from the government and public sector. The Chamber is an incorporated business organization governed by a 27 member Board of Directors elected annually by its membership. The Chamber employs a staff to execute the day-to-day operations and programs and to ensure policy set by the board.
The Greater Gardner Chamber of Commerce relies on the financial investment of its membership to provide all of its services and programs. Approximately 50% of the Chamber’s annual operating revenues are obtained through membership investments.
Chamber membership is voluntary and open to any business, professional or organization employing a minimum of 1 person. Renewable annually, the Chamber has grown to over 700 member businesses from the Greater Gardner area.
Membership in the Greater Gardner Chamber is an investment for your business. While paid membership is an active enough investment for many members, participation in any of committees is encouraged and is open to all members.
The best thing about your membership investment, though, is that you do not have to be involved in everything the Chamber does to benefit. Committees are working on important projects all the time, and you are asked and encouraged to get involved only when you have the time and ability. Your investment supports the important work you would like to have done even when you don’t have the time to get personally involved.
